Today’s chores : cleaning of the basement for most of the day. It’s amazing all the stuff I have accumulated over the course of the past few years. I don’t understand today why I found important 6 or 7 years ago to keep all the phone bills, hydro bills, visa bills, etc in a box. I guess I must have thought at the time that one day when I’ll be in my thirties, old and not a party person anymore, I’ll have nothing better to do than spend a day (and it’s not over yet) sorting through all that stuff and ending up throwing out 3/4 of it out. I found some nice stuff that I will keep though. Like some love letters my husband and I used to write to each other when we first met. Nothing kinky, or sexy, it was rather deep, introspective and sweet. I guess it resembled us at the time, and 10+ years down the road, it still resembles us.
I chose to keep these, thinking of my little bun in the oven, 2 months in the miraculous world of creation, and thought that he/she might be interested one day to read these, as much as I was about reading my dad’s beautiful, huge, cushion valentine’s cards that he wrote to my mom (they even came in a box, not an envelop). Can’t imagine how much it must have cost him at the time.
I guess it’s time to go to a quick shop at the grocery store, as my hubby, too excited at the prospect of going shopping for a pressure washer at CT, forgot the marinated meat on the counter top for a couple of hours this afternoon. My pregnant woman instinct won’t let me give a try at this meat…
